ALLY BELL PHOTOGRAPHY
Ally Bell is a photographer based just outside Belfast. He works exclusively with analogue processes. His practice focuses across urban and rural landscapes and architecture, with an emphasis on quiet structures, peripheral spaces, and the physical presence of place.
His work is project driven and material led. Film is used for its discipline, limitations, and clarity rather than nostalgia. The workflow remains strictly analogue from capture through development and print production.
His approach is defined by restraint, structure, and a refusal of digital aesthetics. The work prioritises tone, form, and the slow, deliberate pace that film demands.
